Hiddentec Tracker Assists in Recovery of Pharmaceuticals Worth $2 Million

As reported by WSB-TV in Atlanta, GA, a big-rig truck loaded with pharmaceutical products worth $2 million (with an estimated street value of $6-8 million) was stolen on 22nd July 2014. The trailer was fitted with one of Hiddentec’s tracking devices, allowing officers to recover the full load in just 56 minutes following an intense chase.

Investigators suggest that the robbery might have been an inside job; and that the perpetrators carried out what was clearly a well-planned heist, including switching over of license plates and even changing the truck’s cabin. Being unaware of the covert tracking device, the thieves continued to lead law enforcement officers to their location.
