On 13th July 2014, Hiddentec’s Senior Operations Manager, Chris Whicher, will be taking part in the 2014 British 10k London Run in an effort to raise money for MS Trust.
MS Trust is a UK-based charity dedicated to improving the lives of those with Multiple Sclerosis, a cause which Chris supports strongly, and has friends who are affected by the illness.
The MS Trust is in contact with over 40,000 people affected by multiple sclerosis; that’s people with MS, their families, friends and the health care professionals who help manage multiple sclerosis.
For more information on the MS Trust and their work, visit their website www.mstrust.org.uk
Chris will be carrying a Hiddentec tracking device while he completes his run, which can be live-tracked from this article while the event is ongoing.
Chris Successfully Completed the Run!
Chris smashed his target of £250 and successfully completed the 10k run! At the time of writing, the total raised stands at £285 (£328.75 including Gift Aid) however donations can be added until 13th August.
“I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that donated large and small. The run was a fantastic experience, taking in 32 of London’s most iconic landmarks. Over 25,000 thousand people participated and the crowds cheering everyone on were a real morale booster. All together the team I ran with have raised over £1500 for the MS Trust.
This is but the start of my running journey with aspirations for a marathon or 2 🙂 We all have to start somewhere and the support you have all shown has been a fantastic help for an even greater cause.” – Chris
